Funeral Masses for Fr. Louis Mendy

Please pray for Father Louis Mendy CSSp, assistant priest at St. Bernadette’s Church, who sadly passed away after a short stay in St Andrew’s Hospice in the afternoon of Saturday 19 June. May he rest in peace.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11am for his family and other invited guests.
His body will be received into the church at 5:30pm on Thursday and Holy Mass will be held at 6pm for parishioners and friends of Father Louis. If you wish to attend this Mass, please book online or by phone. Bookings will open at 6pm this Sunday on our Eventbrite page.
There will be a viewing of the body on Wednesday 30 June from 9am to 4pm at Sherry’s Funeral Parlour in Motherwell.
WE JUST LOVED FR LOUIS LIKE A SON. HE WAS OUR FRIEND AND OUR LOVELY PRIEST AT ST COLUMBAS IN RENFREW. WE SHARED LOVELY MEALS WITH HIM AT OUR HOME AND ALSO OUTSIDE. HE CAME TO OUR ADULT SOCIAL CLUB AND TALKED TO OUR MEMBERS WHO WERE FROM OTHER CHURCHES AND DENOMINATIONS. HE LAUGHED A LOT AND JUST WAS SO HAPPY ALL THE TIME. HE LOVED GOING HOME TO HIS MUM AND DAD AND ALL HIS FAMILY. WE ARE STILL IN SHOCK AT HIS PASSING BUT HE IS WITH GOD NOW AND HOPE HE IS PRAYING FOR US AS HE WAS JUST AN ANGEL IN EVERY WAY.
